J.H. Benedict tool makers machined a cylindrical coil die, mounted it to a lathe and formed a piece of stainless steel tubing. This work is a testament to the know-how and ingenuity of these skilled tradesmen. Not only did they come up with the plan, they executed it. A plan that included changing the gearing on the lathe to accommodate the coil pitch. This is both skill and art for those who can appreciate it. Enjoy.
